The Atlanta Hawks Season Ahead

The 08'-09' season for the Atlanta Hawks was bitter sweet for the most part. While the team improved upon their previous season, the playoff perform against the Cleveland Cavaliers wasn't what the Hawks team hoped for.

The Hawks finished second in the Southeast division behind the Orlando Magic with a 47-35 record and were swept in the second round of the playoffs. The first round win against the Miami Heat wasn't that impressive either - every win and loss was in the double digits.

The 08' playoffs against the Boston Celtics proved that the Atlanta Hawks were on the rise and should compete for the Eastern Conference Championship in the near future.

The Hawks did improve on their previous season - many feel the Hawks took a step backwards in 09'. Not being able to win 50 games in the Eastern Conference isn't very impressive by many accounts. If a team is a serious playoff threat -winning 50 games should be accomplished.

Horford has great rebounding and shot-blocking ability, and moves up and down the basketball court with great speed. A work in progress, he's expected to improve steadily during the next few seasons. If Horford can develop into what they think he can be, Johnson will have some really nice help around him.

Rounding out the team are other valuable pieces, which include the ever so talented Josh Smith, point guard Mike Bibby, newly acquired Jamal Crawford, rookie Jeff Teague, and others.

The only concern I see is the lack of scoring for this team. They must improve on putting up bigger points if they want to make some noise.

Coming out of the East won't be easy and the Hawks will have to fight and claw their way through the upcoming season.

Ear Thermometers The ear is considered to give the most accurate reflection of the body's core temperature and should give you a fast and accurate reading. Most ear thermometers come with disposable caps which you put over the tip and then throw away after each use to make it hygienic. Digital readouts are normal and negate any user error.

All of the thermometers listed above will work. Which one you choose will probably depend a lot on your own personal preferences.

If you want to minimise the possibility of reader error, then a thermometer with a digital display probably makes a lot of sense.

A non contact thermometer, or an ear thermometer, is probably a good choice if you want to avoid upsetting your baby.

From the point of view of accuracy, the ear thermometer type is the best choice.

As we all know, there is no place like Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom to have fun. It is an all night event and starts from 9:00 p. M. And lasts till 6:00 a. M.

Unfortunately some grads take unnecessary advantage of this night to indulge in activities like illegal drinking, doing drugs and going unruly and wild on the premises. This not only hurts themselves but also their fellow students. Not only you ruin your enjoyment tie but also the time of your fellows. Disney has taken some strict actions for discouraging such activities. Due to some unfortunate deaths and other accidents like passing out of students, the Disney has closed some places like the Tom Sawyer's Island and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. In the starts all rides and attraction were open but now Disney carefully chooses which ones to allow and which ones to close.

The nite starts at Main Street and then it moves to the dance floor, followed by fireworks at 11:30 p. M. Disneyland is decorated specially for this occasion and includes sponsorship stalls and several dance clubs. Along with special lightning is done and even the darkest areas of the Disneyland are brightly lit. An illuminated walkway with music blaring from the speakers of top songs and artists of that year, Disneyland becomes a wonderland ever more.

The night is marked by live performances which have been rated as the best part of the evening. These music bands and artists take the best part of the evening and the students go wild during these performances. Very well known artists and bands have given live performances each year in these grad nites. Students always rank it to be the best part as famous artists like The Last Goodnight, Lesley Roy, Ne-Yo, Omarion, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Fall Out Boy, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Destiny's Child and the Backstreet Boys have been within the reach of the grads.

Apart from this, each year Disney surprises the participating grads through acts and shows that are shown for the first time on this night. Students can see the wonderful and famous fireworks of the Disney at 11:30 every year on this nite. Apart from this, the decorations are specially done and all walkways and dark places in the Disney are illuminated by brilliant lights.

Disney Grad Nite is the best time of the year for high schools graduating class and it starts at 9:00 and lasts all night till 6:00 a. M. It should be taken advantage of but do not blow your chances away by violating the rules set down by Disney.

Steelers Win 12th Straight Over Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been playing the Cleveland Browns for longer than any other team in the National Football League, dating back to'50. And while it hasn't been quite that long since the Cleveland Browns won a game against the Steelers it may be starting to feel like it. On Sunday, Pittsburgh won for the twelfth straight time dating back to 2003 as they topped Cleveland by a final score of 27-13.

The good news for NFL betting enthusiasts who took the +13' with the Browns as a road underdog is that they managed to cover the pointspread by the slimmest of possible margins. Betting against the defending Superbowl champion is a long standing handicapping concept, and this season at least its worked like a charm-the Steelers have only covered one of their first six games. Cleveland, meanwhile, evened their NFL pointspread record at 3-3 on the season. The Browns have covered three straight after dropping their first three both straight up and against the spread. The 40 combined points went OVER the posted total of 37'. Pittsburgh has now gone OVER in four straight after starting the season with two UNDERs while the Browns evened their NFL totals mark at 3-3.

Pittsburgh dominated the game in virtually every statistical category. They amassed 28 first downs to 12 for Cleveland, held a 543 to'7 total yardage advantage and a 36:46 to 23:14 time of possession advantage. Both teams turned the ball over four times, and the Steelers led only 17-14 in the third quarter. Most of the post game talk from both sides was about a controversial spot in the first half where the Steelers were given a first down on a short yardage play when it appeared that they didn't make the required yardage.

After the contest, Derek Anderson spoke of the frustration of continually coming up short against the Steelers. The Browns have only one once in ten games since Pittsburgh moved into their new home at Heinz Field:

"We're not trying to lose every time we go out here. We put tons of hours in and ... it's frustrating. Every single week, it's frustrating."

Steelers' tight end Heath Miller said the team is happy to be where they are at this point despite not playing up to their standards:

"I think we haven't played our best ball yet and that's pretty comforting. We've gotten a few wins here without playing our best."

The Steelers will host Brett Favre and the 6-0 Minnesota Vikings next Sunday. The Steelers are a -4 home favorite with the total set at 45. After a bye week, the Steelers will hit the road to play another undefeated team as they take on the Denver Broncos on Monday, November 9. Cleveland will host the Green Bay Packers this Sunday, with the Browns a +7 home underdog and the total set at 42'. They'll head to 'The Windy City' to face the Chicago Bears the following Sunday and then have a bye week.
