How To Catch A Thief Red-Handed

By Mikale F Oshby

It was extremely odd to discover the cookie jar on my work desk empty every two days, when this was meant to go on for a week. I worked at home then. Sooner or later, I decided that it was the moment to use a hidden security video camera system to uncover the culprit.

My uncle had given me some gadgets and told me that covert video cameras were intended to watch people and also locations even in your own absence. They looked like everyday items thus no one would have any idea that they were being watched.

It just so happened that he gave me a desktop speakers hidden camera last Christmas. This really functions as a two-piece speaker system that you can make use of with CD/DVD players, MP3 players, iPods and also personal computers. You can even plug earphones in and adjust the volume.

Being a wireless video camera makes it very convenient since you won't have to worry about all that disorderly, messy wiring. You could readily change its location at any moment.

The nanny cam is a black and white camera having .003 lux. It can shoot clear images in the dark. All it requires is some faint lighting coming from the TV or a night lamp.

This hidden video camera was positioned perfectly in front of the cookie jar on my computer table. I usually went out in the afternoon to perform some chores and guessed there was something happening at these hours.

I allow the spy camera record for three days. As expected, the full cookie jar on a Monday had only one raisin oatmeal cookie on a Wednesday. I watched the playback and I was stunned to find out that the cookie culprit was the neighbor's capuchin monkey.

He was able to enter via the catwalk which I had set up several months back for my Bengal. My hidden nanny camera system worked flawlessly and I'm grateful it was not a cookie-obsessed ghost.
