African Lace Fabric: What you should know

By Jo Smith

African apparel can be found in all kinds of style and design, but there is one odd elements among them all and that's the fact that they are colourful, dazzling and elegant and often very comfortable. African fashion has different ways of revealing their attractiveness and elegance. Some include wide and pronounced embroidery while others are simple but exquisite with virtually no embelleshment, several come in a individual colour while other are expressed in beautifully mixed colours, some include shorts while other with trousers. In whole customary African garments give beauty, shape and character to the individual wearing it. African clothes has been in vogue for hundreds of years but what makes it more pleasing is the reinvention of old African material for creating modern and contemporary african styles

So what now are the things you'll need to take into account when shopping for African clothes? I will say there are 4 standard things you'll need to look out for

1. What material is the design made from?: there are many African textiles however the most widely used kinds would be the voile lace, satin lace, brocade, linen, adire, aso-oke, and the most popular called the Ankara, the texture of the Ankara is such that it may be made into any design both aged and fresh, however the most costly being the lace fabric.

2. What type of style am I searching for that can suit my event: The kind of material or design you select will get more respect and accolade donning a well designed lace fabric than adire fabric so the larger the event the bigger the fabric, even though in this contemporary period men may possibly prefer a well design Ankara to the lace fabric

3. How much will it cost: Like we said in the two factors above, the price is something you require also to take into account, this is one point African attire has over its opponents, because our textile and design originates from the original source which is West African our costs are very much reasonable and our design are unique.

I am sure if you supply yourself with this reliable three points when looking for African garments, you are 100% certain you will make a good choice and design.
