No. The Chinese and many other civilizations have records and writings that run from before Noah’s time to after, without a break. Apparently nobody told them their bustling, thriving civilizations with hundreds of millions of people were all supposed to be drowned and washed away.
The Biblical account of the flood
puts it between about 2345 BCE and about 2344 BCE. During this time, multiple
civilizations with written records just merrily kept chugging along, with their
societies still intact.
The Mesopotamians, the Egyptians,
the Sumerians, all of them kept going without a break. Pharaoh Teti ruled Egypt
from 2345 BCE to 2333 BCE, and the ancient Israelites forgot to tell him he was
supposed to be drowned and therefore couldn’t be writing records and ruling his
kingdom.
Somebody also forgot to tell the
Norte Chico society in modern-day Peru that they were all washed away, so they
just kept on keeping’ on. Of course, the authors of the Bible didn’t know about
that whole entire continent, so maybe they didn’t think to send an email.
