There is no surah that suggests Allah has
six hands. And while the Quran mentions Allah creating “with His hands” it
makes it clear in Surah Iklas that “lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad" He is not
like unto, not comparable to anyone or anything in the universe He created.
Allah is not a part of His creation, and is
not like His creation, so the fact of His having hands cannot be imagined or
compared with human hands, except in the sense that He acts with them.
As Allah tells us explicitly, there are
verses in the Quran which are clear and easily understood, and others which are
“mutashabiha” likened to something familiar, but, as aspects of the divinity,
are beyond human understanding. And He warns us not to seek to unravel these
mysteries of the Divinity. It leads only to confusion, not to knowledge.
Allah in all His being and aspects, is
beyond the material world, the world of humanity which He created. He can tell
us something about Himself, using human language, but the human language cannot
fully contain that Divine quality or attribute. Nor can the human mind. Like
the word “infinite”. We cannot fully grasp infinity. We get something like
“very big, bigger, biggest, bigger than biggest” but infinite is beyond these
words, beyond our 4 dimensional universe and our finite minds.
As so we accept them as telling us
something that Allah wants us to know about Himself, but we recognize our human
limitations.
He is the One, the Only, the Creator, the
Merciful, the Giver of all good, the Forgiving, the Living, the all Knowing,
the Beginning and the End.
All good comes from Him. All evil comes
from ourselves, from our free choices. Choose Him, ask Him to guide you, be
grateful to Him.
