The Quran, the holy book of Islam, is believed by Muslims to be the literal word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It was revealed to Muhammad over a period of approximately 23 years, starting in 610 CE and concluding in 632 CE, the year of Muhammad's death.
On the other hand, the Bible is a collection of religious texts that includes the Old Testament (shared with Judaism) and the New Testament (specific to Christianity). The Old Testament has roots in ancient Hebrew scriptures, and its texts were written over a span of many centuries, with the earliest portions dating back to around 1200 BCE.
The New Testament, which includes the teachings and life of Jesus Christ, was written in the 1st century CE. The earliest texts of the New Testament are the letters of Paul, written in the 50s and 60s CE, while the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) were likely composed between the 1st and 2nd centuries CE.
Therefore, the Quran was revealed several centuries after the texts that make up the Bible, with the Quranic revelations starting in the 7th century CE and the Bible's Old Testament dating back to around 1200 BCE.
