The Zen Of Great Journeys

By Evan Sanders

Adventure is calling.

It's the greatest adventure of your life in fact. It's an adventure that could change your entire life.

What would it take to answer that call even if you were scared?

If you could go on an adventure that was truly out of your control, that would take you into unknown lands and put you up against unknown obstacles, but would change you for the rest of your life would you take that chance? Would you have the guts?

Winston Churchill once famously claimed, "To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often."

Churchill has it right as it really is all about changing and improving upon your life constantly. If you can adapt and adjust to situations and prevent yourself from getting too attached to things you can really take things up another level.

The journey of a lifetime isn't a journey really to anywhere in particular but rather a commitment to seeing what you could really do with your life.

The only thing that is stopping you from going on this journey is fear. Maybe you are afraid of not having what it takes to succeed in this journey or that you haven't been able to accomplish anything in the past? That's okay. That's all okay. The important part is having faith in the fact that you can change.

When you stop running from what scares you and step into making some serious changes, life becomes a fun adventure to be explored.

Naturally, you are going to have doubts about what you are capable of. You will wonder if you can really do this. But if you give up the story of having to "make it somewhere" and just show up "here" every single day, this life becomes a hell of a lot easier to live in.

So what will it be today? Fear or adventure?
