Learning how to fight coolly like Jackie Chan does is pretty amazing. If you can be like that, no matter where you go, you seem to play the hero. However, learning martial arts could be quite demanding. You do not only deal with a strict instructor, you also have to comply with all the rules of self discipline and tradition just like being in the military arena. But when you have acquired the skills and have learned the basic steps, you would surely enjoy. But for the moment, you have to abide by the rules and one of it is wearing the appropriate dress code. For the Brazilian martial arts, they call it hemp jiu jitsu gi.

There are reasons why you should comply strictly to this. As there are many kinds of martial arts sports all over the world, your uniform will distinguish which kind you are engaged with. In different countries, there are different term as well, and they differ when it comes to the principles, the tactics, the style and the moves.

The most popular kind you will hear is the kung fu of China, the karate of Japan, and many others. With the uniform, you are taking into account the particular kind you are engaging with since it marks your membership. But more than that, it speaks for your convenience. It would be hard perform wearing tight pants and a heavy jacket.

One serious consequence of not wearing the right clothes is attaining injuries. This is the reason why you have to wear really comfortable dresses. There are shops that sell different outfits that are suitable for every sport. With the Brazilian sport, the kind of cloth used is cotton. It is mainly composed of a jacket weaved from long fiber and pants made long fiber twill.

Also, just like any other outfits, it has its own design. Most noticeable is the rope style draw string and the UVA collar accompanied by its distinctive logo. But aside from the design, this uniform is made firmly by reinforced stitches. Knowing how much movement and force is exerted in the sport, it has been made firm for the benefit of the artist.

The complete set of the uniform comes with the following things. There should be the trim, the patches, and the sparring gear. Before you get your teachers to see you in class, you should be able to present yourself with this complete set, or else you will not be able to join the class. Also one of the very important rules is to keep yourself in proper hygiene all the time.

With this, also comes along the tradition and proper care for the uniform. The whole outfit should be washed regularly except for the belt. The belt has a significant value in martial arts since the honor lies in it. It is taught that all the knowledge you learn in this endeavor is stored in the belt so you should not wash it or your learning will go along with it.

That is because jiu jitsu originated from the Japanese martial arts. It was taught by Mitsuyo Maeda, a Japanese artist to two Brazilians. Each generation taught to the next until it has become popular and with time developed its own style.
