You have applied to sponsor a family member to come to the country. This family member is of a different citizenry and you are hoping that you can bring him in your home soil. Unfortunately, the petition was denied. Op not worry though. There is always sponsorship appeals in Canada that you can exhaust for situations like these

It is a fact that the whole process you had to go through early on just so you can file the necessary application for her was tough enough. Now that your petition was not granted, you are beyond frustrated. Whoever, do not let this get to you. Just know that there are choices that are available for you. Naturally, you want to make sure that you're able to exhaust all these choices that you have.

There are things that you can and you cannot do when it comes to decisions like these. Never give up right then and there just because you were refused. It is your right to get to know why you are refused and if there is something that you can do to get the decision properly reversed.

You have the right to appeal these kinds of decision. But you need to ensure that you are actually doing things right. You would not want to waste this chance and you wan tot make sure that you are able to maximize it as best as you can instead. So, do some research. Do your homework. Then, you are pretty sure what your next steps are going to be this time.

Have an idea of the reasons behind why the application got refused. You must know what really lies behind why it was not approved to begin with. You'll soon find out that it would be a lot easier for you to come up with the right moves when you know exactly where you have committed missteps in the first attempt. Then, you can find ways to remedy them.

Determine what are the reasons wherein a certain decision may no longer be allowed to be appealed. There are instances when a person may not be allowed to appeal the first refusal of the department to grant the request. These are those instances where the person was actually found to have committed a serious crime, is threat to the security, has violate international and human rights, as well as others.

You need to take note about the time frame in which you are allowed to file an appeal after your request has been denied. You have to ensure that you are able to file the appeal within the designated time frame otherwise, you will no longer be allowed to have any say in the previous decision made by the office. In most cases, it is thirty days after refusal.

Once you have filed the sponsorship appeals in Canada, you are going to have to wait for the decision. If the office in charge is going to decide that it has no merit, then it will be denied for good, end of discussion. If it is be approved, then the former decision is set aside. The proves then starts again to get the approval and if it does get approved, a visa is issued to the family member you are sponsoring.
