James Malinchak's Lead Other People To Success Guidelines

By Stanton Harper

One of the greatest feelings in life is a sense of knowing that you could lead other people to success. To be able to help someone to reach their true potential and lead them to achieve their dreams is a remarkable skill. This skill is natural for some people, however, leadership of others is a skill that's possible to learn. With a small amount of practice in leadership, you, too, can lead others to success.

First of all, you need to accept that you're somebody who is worth listening. What you have to say and share matters. What you see from the outside could make a significant impact on others progress. You have to live a life where others will see something in you that motivates them to want better from their own lives. Are you happy with what you do? This has to shine through. As somebody motivating others, either by motivational speaking, or just by good leadership skills, to live a successful life, you need to be authentic and living a successful life yourself. You can't be authentic if you don't feel that you are successful in your own life.

Next, you need to know and understand how people work, know how they are motivated. Not everyone is motivated in quite the same way. Success means different things to different people. Some people need more time to acknowledge they are worthy of being successful than others. Some people need to have a path shown to them while others can take a concept and run with it. People skills and excellent communication skills will allow you to lead others to success.

Lead by example. Accepting success is defined in a lot of different ways, define your measure of success. Then, show others the path that you took to get to the successful life you live today. Determine how your clients or potential clients define success. Then, push or coax them as appropriate until every member of the group can give a definitive idea of how they can work towards living a successful life by their own definition. Remember, you've got a gift or talent, and you know something that others don't know. Use that talent to guide them towards success.

To lead others to success, you need to listen to what they want. It is equally beneficial to hear what they do not want. Then, show them how to get what they desire by suggesting ways they can develop their skills, or their lifestyle, or even themselves in order to live a successful life. Sometimes, it takes courage to tell them what they do not want to hear, or do not want to do, in order to help them be successful. Remember you are hired to lead them not act as a best friend.
