Shisha Flavors

By John McCree

Would you like a shisha flavor that fits your taste buds? Read along to find how you can get a great shisha flavor that fits your taste.

Shisha is the name of the flavored tobacco which is typically used in the a hookah. The present day shisha includes all or some of the following things:

1. Tobacco

2. Treacle (uncrystallized syrup produced in refining sugar)

3. Honey

4. Sugar

5. Molasses

6. Glycerin

7. Nicotine

8. Dried Fruit

9. Distilled Water

The hookah smokers prefer the popular fruity flavors like apple, banana or mango. However, there are plenty of new and creative flavors available in the market for example Starbuzz's "Blue Mist". The vast majority of new flavors have a fruit flavor as the base. This includes flavors such as banana split and blueberry muffin.

Shisha flavors have become versatile due to relative simplicity of flavoring in the course of production. Unique flavors are made because basically every ingredient can be mixed in dried, tobacco, glycerin and sweetener.

Social Smoking

Hookah is generally shared in a social environment where the smokers may gather for pleasant discussion and to enjoy the aroma produced by the flavored shisha smoke. Once hookah became popular in the Middle Eastern nations, every single social establishment started serving hookahs. These days, you'll find hookahs even in the houses of many people.

Most of the growing popularity of shisha can be attributed to the flavor and calming effect of the smoke. People smoke it out of social pursuit and not for some biological effect it elicits. Whereas cigarettes give more of a "quick fix" having a potent dose of nicotine and a generally unpleasant aroma, a flavorful hookah session may last an hour or longer, and shisha doesn't have near the addictive features as cigarettes.

Getting the Most Flavor from Your Hookah

If you want to enhance your hookah experience, then you simply have to adhere to a few basic acts of sound judgment. First off, cleaning and maintaining your device correctly is important. You must wash your hookah meticulously using warm water after every use.

To have a longer and smoother smoking session, make sure that the charcoal does not burn up the tobacco. The tobacco shouldn't get stuck to the foil, better still, the tobacco should not even touch the aluminum foil. While you are packing the bowl, be sure the tobacco is at least a few millimeters below the rim of the bowl. So that when you wrap the aluminum foil, there is distance between the tobacco and the aluminum foil. One more technique that you can use to maintain distance between foil and the tobacco is to put two toothpicks in cross on the tobacco. Additionally, when "packing" the bowl, don't pack the tobacco down tightly. Instead, loosely pile it into a nice mound allowing the air to flow through the mound. This will also stop the tobacco from burning as easily, and it will require less suction on the hose to get a nice, full flavorful hit. To avoid overheating some people use two sheets of foil. The specific game here is: KEEP IT THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND DON'T BURN THE SHISHA!
