Use only branded motor oil:

One must constantly use trusted brand of motor oil. If you use any oil and if the oil is heavier than what your car motor can operate on, not only it will ruin your motor but with time it will decrease your fuel efficiency by almost 1-2%. Using recommended grade motor oil from trusted brands and changing motor oil timely results in increased motor life plus it betters fuel efficiency of vehicles and maintains it till you keep on changing oil timely.

Change tires:

Damaged tires are among the major dangers of vehicle mileage. As tires get old their ability to hold air pressure decreases and it leads to more energy consumption of engine in order to carry the equivalent weight. New tires can carry enough air pressure to maintain high tire pressure with less energy needed. Therefore, tires need to be maintained as new as possible since it contributes to the improvement of the vehicle in terms of mileage. New tires can help to save fuel by as much as 3%.

Alignment checks:

Vehicles which stays out of alignment for quite some time consumes more fuel on the road, so in order to avoid this situation you need to get your vehicle checked for alignment at least once in a year.

Tune up:

With time more and more technologies come up which betters the mileage of vehicle and are available at cheap prices. So if you have bought your vehicle years ago, we would recommend a tune up for your vehicle. Regular maintenance will also do the job. Regular tune up and maintenance with time which are necessary are also explained in vehicle manuals and if isn't the case that the service center might inform you the best. Oxygen sensor substation:

Oxygen sensors play a very important role in your vehicle to keep it running smoothly. However they are soon outdated with time and require constant replacement. One should replace oxygen sensors at least every 30000 miles for more MPG.

Gas cap:

Often when you notice your vehicles falling MPG performance graph you plan very big updates for vehicles which might cause you thousand dollars but problems are as small as broken fuel tank cap which results in fuel evaporation. Fuel like gasoline evaporate because of low boiling temperature like 35 degrees, therefore its important to keep cap in healthy state.

Clean car engine cabin plus inside:

A lot of us neglects that there are lots of unused trash in our cars that keeps on accumulating and causes additional weight which would need more fuel. Cleaning your vehicle from the inside regularly in addition to re-filling it with timely engine water is a great way to have more MPG.
