File hosting sites - are they really safe?

By Sandra Fraser

Almost one third of the Earth today uses the web. This means that globally over 2,279,709,629 people create electronic files for professional and personal uses, and also share and store them. To pander to the needs of this great chunk of the population, one or two hosting services have come up just recently to help store and search attachments. These hosts, also called storage cloud, are providers of net file-storage, or are cyber lockers, which allow users to upload docs that might then be accessed over the web from different PCs, capsules, smart-phones and other networked devices, by same or other users, after providing authentication. File hosts typically permit HTTP and FTP access.

Popular file hosts are Amazon Cloud Drive, Google Drive, www.homealbum.org, Jungle Disk, Apple's iClouds, iDisks, MediaFires, Mozys, RapidShares, Microsoft's SkyDrives, Softonic, SpiderOak and SugarSync, SwissDisks, Ubuntu-One, Wuala, Yousendit, ZShare and plenty more.

But using and searching filehosting files come with one or two inherent risks. Some common disadvantages of uploading and finding are:Risks of getting viruses. Various hosting services are utilized by crackers and underhand folk to distribute malware such as viruses or adware. While hunting or downloading bonafide, particularly milf and videos, these spyware frequently enter your computer without our knowledge and cause issues.

Infraction of copyright. Looking hosting files regularly yields results which aren't legal, and infringe upon the copyrights of the writer. Hosting services are often used to distribute bootlegged audio, video and text files which deprive the artists who made them of their royalty payments and harm the whole entertainment industry.High costs and slow services. Storing and downloading information is expensive, so many hosting and search services purposefully slow down this process to prompt users to purchase expensive paid accounts. This annoys users who don't explore hosting files regularly.

In spite of the downsides, doc hosting is an excellent way of keeping info for a long length of time without cluttering up your hard drive, and also a useful way of sharing your docs with the globe. Searching hosting files gives the maximum exposure, at lowest cost, and thus gives exposure to impending artists, filmmakers, musicians, and others who want to share their work with pals and family and the world. They also allow folks all over the world to enjoy the best music, videos and text works produced internationally at a click of a button.
