I'm impressed by the clarity and 'crispness' of the sound and good reproduction of lower frequencies. Comfortable to wear even for an extended time - easy to set up and use Cons: - power button on base station difficult to operate with one hand.
When, in time, the batteries are exhausted, I can simply purchase replacements at the grocery store and change them out in less than a minute. I was SO PLEASED with the RS 180, that I purchased a second pair to carry with me to field locations.
Living in a one bedroom apartment, it's awesome to sleep in peace and quiet, while not forcing boyfriend to keep quiet as a mouse as he stays up late. I've owned these cans for a month now, and I can say this headphone is not bad. Sound: These are the best headphones I've ever heard, though all my past headphones were $20 so that isn't a very helpful is it? Despite not having a trained ear, I'll try describing the audio as best as possible. The whole unit does look nice, however. I'd rate it a "C-" in ease of use and an "A" in sound quality.
I appreciate it. My Sennheiser RS 180 experience was better than anticipated.
We use Sennheiser products (mics) in our Rock Band and the performance is consistent and high-end quality. I would recommend this product to others. The controls (volume up, volume down, and balance) are small and right next to one another, and I can't imagine trying to use them with the phones on. It's very easy to hit the wrong button. Let me just say that he hasn't found the magical area where the sounds begins to fade. One of the best features of these headphones is that they are open, so even though nobody can hear what he is listening to, he can still hear what's going on around him.
I have used the Sennheiser RS-130 for the past 4 years, and the surround sound was incredible and delicious. My main uses are for Blu-ray movies and late night TV viewing as to not disturb any neighbors, plus it's an intimate experience without any street noise.
6 months later - update Takes some pretty fancy technology to really impress me these days, and but these headphones are nothing but perfection. I have used high end corded headphones for a long time, and have always preferred Sennheiser. I get around this by putting half a headband from a HD 280 in the groove between the cushions so that the pressure is spread between the top of my head and the sides. This works well, but why does the customer have to come up with a work around for such a problem? Whether it is much better than the 130's is a perception thing since I can't at the same time be hearing both. If I had found an issue with the sound quality of the 130's, then the 180's would have solved it. But, to be fair, there are a couple walls and partially a refrigerator between the headphones and the transmitter. I can listen to them upstairs, the signal going through the floor, no problem.

These wifi headphones are enormous! I attempted to figure out the main difference. Sennheiser Rs120 Wireless Headphones. I do not truly agree with the "discomfort" critiques. For that price, you just cannot beat these headphones. Wireless MP3 Headphones.
