Macroblocking - How to Bring Your Suffering to an End

Have you ever come home after a hard work's day, sat down in your comfortable chair and turn on the TV to watch your favorite show just to see video errors and macroblocks missing from the picture? Some people even get up to see if anything is wrong with the TV, but in fact is technical issue that happens when the source cannot manage the amount of information supported by a HD device. Especially when the images are in motion, you see these blocks those extra positions are not uncompressed fast enough.

As an HD device is capable of receiving a large amount of information, the source is not yet enhanced and updated to handle all that data being transmitted and so the extra positions where the macroblocks have appeared are not uncompressed fast enough. Macroblocking is the popular term for those blocks of image you can spot when the image is in motion and it happens due to a compression error. It happens but it shouldn't, especially because if it occurs during your favorite show, it will completely ruin the experience for you.

So what's there to be done? You're paying the full price for a month's services but during that month many such problems can occur and chances are you will not be refunded or credited. The cable television macroblocking is becoming more and more a phenomenon, as users constantly complain about the poor quality of the images and signal, without getting any solutions to their problems.

Have you ever had the unpleasant experience of coming home to watch your favorite show, just to see the images macroblocking and then the channel locking up entirely? Sometimes the channel can remain like this for hours, even days without the cable company to come up with solutions. Sometimes after the image begins macroblocking, the video drops out and you can only hear the audio, but this doesn't do for you, does it?

On the contrary, it usually takes days until the Time Warner service delivery takes into account that some clients are experiencing these unpleasant problems. It is sometimes outrageous to pay for a service with the money you earn and not be delivered the tall promises and claims they make at the signing of the contract.

You should fight for your rights as a consumer, especially when you're paying the full price for a service that's supposed to be of high quality, but it's not, so it's your duty to make anything in order to signal these errors and find solutions to these unpleasant problems.
