Fulcrum Motion Sensor LED Porch Light - Bollard Lighting Review

By Avery Thompson

I will buy a few more of these paver lights. The reason why I did not give this 5 stars is because the illustration shown in this article mistakenly identifies a thumb screw for turning the light clockwise/counter-clockwise as the on-off switch. I am happy. I've had a lot of different motion sensing lights, mainly smaller sized units, this one is larger but has a lot more light than any I have tried personally so far. They are fantastic little lights for the cost and work as advertised. The light does not come on unless of course it is dark and the range of the sensor is fairly broad. I am a happy camper. The light mounts via 1 screw into the foundation. So, what I did was pre-punch two little holes where the screw marks were on the template, after which I used white Liquid Paper to mark the drilling spots.

I cannot really complain about the security bollard light so far.

One shines on my back door which is the one nearest my driveway, and also the one I use to go in the home.

Even with the lights in my room and the only light in the room being the part of sunlight coming through the curtains, it's not going to activate (I have it in the closet above the door, so it's not facing any direct light). I set up this LED floodlight on the exterior side of my house just beneath the eave of the roof. The only issue I had would be that the screws it comes with aren't an excellent grade of metal; which means you may experience some stripping.

Quite simple to set up and install/replace batteries. Has lots of light to hopefully scare away my canines stinky little buddy. Due to what the light on the Dorcy web site said about output, I made a decision to buy these walkway lights. I have it in the spare room now, which is working very well. I love it when it works, however the vendor must do some fundamental testing before sending it out the door rather than leaving it to the purchaser. Second, the biggest trouble with the walkway light is it does not turn on when there is movement! Worth the low cost. I'm happy with the value, as long as they still work. The walkway lights are only going to turn on in total darkness.

Reading almost all of the below critiques, we chose to take a chance on these lights. I place them high enough, although not so high that I cannot change the batteries (which you'll need three D batteries) with a ladder. This protects battery life.

Worth the price.
