By Clarence William

We all know that the most effective treatments against gingivitis would involve our oral health practices. These effective treatments happen to be very simple things that can be even performed on a regular basis. A classic example of this would be brushing our teeth. This has turned out to be the most effective and affordable way of keeping our teeth and our oral cavity free from any forms of complications. However, a lot of people seem to disregard or forget about the importance of tooth brushing. That is why they end up experiencing problems such as gingivitis.

Aside from brushing your teeth, there are also other remedies available for treating gingivitis. The Mother Nature has been the source for various remedies for oral health problems, thus it is no surprise that there are lots of organic products available in the nearest grocery store or even at the comfort of your home known to be effective in treating the said disease. Listed below are just some of the natural mouthwashes that you can use to treat your problem with gingivitis.

You can use powdered alfalfa leaves, dandelion, and horsetail to form a mud-like mixture. This can be applied to your mouth and followed by a regular gargle. This should be done at least twice a day and it will surely be substantial in reducing the amount of bacteria lurking inside your mouth. Another solution would be to mix a glass of water, one tablespoon of brandy or vodka, 1 drop of peppermint oil and 1 drop of lemon oil. This mixture can help in improving the circulation of blood within your gum layers, thus speeding up the recovery process.

You can also try mixing 1 glass of warm water, 2 drops of clove oil and 1 tablespoon of brandy or vodka. Using clove oil can be effective in reducing the swelling felt by the patient once he or she catches gingivitis. If you think that you cannot use condiments to cure gingivitis, then you are wrong. Mix a cup of water with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Every after brushing, you may use the mixture as a gargle.

The simple combination of lemon juice and water can be a vital component in your recovery from gingivitis. Instead of using regular water for brushing your teeth, you may use the aforementioned combination as a replacement for your gargle. You may need to brush your teeth again after rinsing your mouth using the lemon-water combination.
