Some Basic Info On Men And Yeast Inefections

By J. Myers

Candidiasis, or yeast infection is a problem associated with females, but men are not immune to it. Candidiasis is essentially the overgrowth of fungus candida. The fungus is known to multiply rapidly in an environment with good conditions that is - moist, warm and dark.

Any part of the human body with these conditions will house the fungus. Thus, yeast infection has no preference for sex.

The lifestyle, sex activities, diets, antibiotics, sanitation and other factors may cause yeast infection in men. Sadly, many men will move on with their daily life without knowing they have a yeast infection. This is because the male and female bodies are built differently.

Men will only be aware of a yeast infection if other complications manifest in their health, but for females, a simple case of vaginal infection and discharge will start sending alarms. The reason is that the outside temperature of the skin around the penis is 77 degrees, thus keeps the yeast infection dormant for long.

The social life of males is also believed as a contributory factor to yeast infections. males who are excessive beer drinkers incline to develop skin yeast particularly around their sex organ. Yeast is essentially known to puff bread while cooking, is it not also a possibility that it can also blow up a prostrate gland? This is the reason why sexually active men are more affected by prostrate ailments like prostate cancer than young boys. Yeast will basically go up the urethral canal, to the prostrate gland, and an over production of it will swell the gland.

Although medical science is offering male yeast infection cures in the market, initially, all yeast infection treatments were tailor made for females. The most practical measure thus to be undertaken is prevention. Improving eating habits, practicing safe sex, changing lifestyle and upholding utmost hygiene are the key to averting yeast infections in male.
