Which star is mentioned in the Qur'an other than the Sun?

The Quran mentions the star Sirius, known as "Ash-Shi'ra" or "Aschera" in Arabic. The specific mention is in Surah An-Najm (The Star), which is the 53rd chapter of the Quran. The relevant verses describe the Prophet Muhammad's experience during the event known as the Night Journey and Ascension (Isra and Mi'raj):

Surah An-Najm (53:49-50):

"And that He is the Lord of Sirius,

And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad"

In these verses, the reference to Sirius is part of the broader narrative that emphasizes the importance of the Prophet's mission and the guidance provided by Allah. The mention of Sirius is used as a celestial sign, acknowledging the creation and power of Allah.
