Every household need a good furry buddy to call their own. And a designer breed kind of dog is just the thing to satisfy this need. However there are many kinds of designer breed to choose from, but the tricky part is what kind of designer breed should fit into your family.

The dog is a mixture of the poodle and golden retriever. And referred to as a designer breed however is actually a mix breed, but the miniature Goldendoodles has gained so much popular because of its soft disposition and sociable toward humans. So if you are considering to take one of these cute furry mammals as a pet then you should consider a few tips.

But is also an excellent service dog and can perform various task to aid humans with special needs. The groodle have a very friendly disposition but can be territorial when it looks after a household. The dog cannot be contained in an apartment because it needs open space to run around and be free.

Furthermore groodles are good for people with allergies since they do not shed a lot. However proper grooming must be carried out so that they will continually have nice short curly blonde fur. But most owners usually have them groomed in a bi weekly or weekly basis as well as get them clipped too.

More over buying this kind of animal is important to meet one of its parents. Because knowing the temperament of its mother will show you the kind of dog you will be housing during its entire lifetime. Aside from that groodles in general are very good animals to keep in the home.

Besides that choosing the appropriate size of groodle to live with you is also important. These dogs come in three different sizes small, large, and miniature. However these dogs usually have a height of 20 inch and weight about 35 pounds.

Furthermore groodles are not spared from getting sick from terrible diseases and ailments. Just like other dogs the groodle can become sickly especially when they are afflicted by dysplasia of the elbow and hip, von willebrand, have gastric problems, allergies, infection of the ear, and patellar luxation. There might be other kinds of infection and diseases too but checking with a vet and asking these questions toward the breeder provides you better insight into handling your dog. More over bringing a dog home requires that you have it trained before.

Patellar luxation, ear infections, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, progressive retinal atrophy, von willebrands, allergies, gastric dilatation volvulue, and hypothyroidism. Now these can be a mouthful especially if are a first time owner. But is very important that you check the background of the breeder and also get in touch with a veterinarian who can assess your dogs overall health.

Therefore it is important to know who is the veterinary of the mutt if it belonged to a previous owner or it came from a breeder. And better to have a vet that is familiar to the mutt, so you lower the chances of the animal developing further complications with their health. Hence very important for owners to consider this aspect of owning a dog.
