Taking A Close Look At E Cigarette Cartomizers

By Collin Kennedy

The introduction of e cigarette cartomizers is a proof that the device isn't a perfect one. Manufacturers have soon realized that they can improve the older three-piece design which consists of the battery, cartridge and atomizer separately. These days, a lot of brands take on a two-piece design so there's only the battery and the cartomizer a user needs to worry about. The new component has a lot of benefits to offer too.

A cartomizer is actually a unit comprised of the cartridge and atomizer fused together. The cartridge acts both as the storage area for the e juice and the mouthpiece. The atomizer is a heating element responsible for turning e juice into vapor. Because this component constantly heats up and cools down, it's prone to breaking down.

Pre-filled cartridges used by devices having a three-piece design are cheaper compared to a cartomizer. However, a cartomizer isn't at all that expensive to cause a hole in your pocket. Averagely, it has twice the price tag of a usual cartridge, though some may be costlier than that depending on their manufacturers. But combining the costs of the cartridge and atomizer, this new component is definitely cheaper.

A single cartomizer lasts longer than a typical cartridge in terms of the number of puffs one can enjoy. It's said to last just as long as enjoying nearly a couple of cigarette stick packs. Usually, your ordinary cartridge is roughly equivalent to a single pack of cigarettes only. Going for a device having a two-piece system is definitely more economical, especially to one who heavily vapes.

In using a two-piece system device, you need not constantly fret about the atomizer failing to work suddenly. On the average, an atomizer has to be swapped after installing your 10th cartridge or after some weeks, depending on how frequently you vape. A clogged component may be used again after rinsing it in hot water. However, one that has already burned out needs to be thrown away.

Whenever you screw in a fresh cartomizer, you're getting both a new cartridge and an atomizer. Installation is also a breeze so you can jump into vaping right away. But it's a different story with a unit using a three-piece design. You have to unscrew the cartridge, push out the atomizer, slide in a new one properly and screw everything back together.

E juice leaking into the battery can shorten the lifespan of your device. Good thing that a cartomizer reduces the risk of a leakage happening. A three-piece design is linked to leakage because of the way it works. By means of a wick, e juice is sent to the atomizer for vaporizing, and this is what can cause e juice to spill. But such can be eliminated because a cartomizer seals the cartridge and atomizer together into a single tube.

Just like your typical cartridges, e cigarette cartomizers are available in varying nicotine strengths. They range from 0 mg to 16 mg, or sometimes higher than that. They're also available in varying flavors. If you wish to enjoy the benefits offered by these components, go for a device using a two-piece design.
