You've probably heard some of the chatter by now about Global Verge. Buzzirk Mobile has chosen them to sell their VoIP phones and phone service. Global Verge e-associates will need to pass a test before they can sell the phones, and all websites will have to be compliant with federal SPAM regulations.
Global Verge is less than 8 months old at the time of this writing. They sell many other products, including Fathom video conferencing, and National ID Recovery, which allows people to recover data from hard drives. But all the buzz is around their new offering, Buzzirk Mobile.
Members have been all but dancing up and down for the chance to sell these phones. They are already using it pretty heavily to recruit new members into the organization. All this caused a huge glitch in June of 2009. Member's personal information wasn't being updated, credit cards weren't being charged, and members couldn't even get through on the phones for 3 weeks. Needless to say, members were getting pretty nervous.
Global Verge paired with a new customer support company that will also process credit cards. The company is supposed to call people when their credit cards expire, and if they try to drop out of the autoship program. It is hoped that this will keep more people in the system.
According to Global Verge, Buzzirk Mobile will require members to pass a written test in order to be able to sell the phone product. They have to be qualified because of all the regulations surrounding cell phone sales.
It's not going to be easy to get approved to sell this product. With the added strain of making sure the website is in compliance with all regulations, it looks even less appealing. And Global Verge is an MLM company, you will also need to recruit other people into your downline. This seems like quite a lot of work just to make a little money.
Why not go at this whole internet sales thing from a different angle? If you learn the basics of marketing, you won't have to sell a good product for a possibly unstable company, just because you think the product will sell. You'll be able to sell whatever product you like, because you will have the understanding to make the sales.
If you're already an e-associate with Global Verge, don't jump ship just yet. But if you were thinking about joining the company, my advice is to put your time into learning the marketing fundamentals first, and choosing the company last.
