Finding Short Breaks In England

Contrary to what some people might think, England is far more than just bad weather and bad food. On the contrary, nothing could be further from the truth and although there is quite a lot of rain at certain times the year, you will find that England has an enormous amount to offer. It must also be said that England is far more than just London and the surrounding area.

There are literally hundreds of great destinations in England. There are seaside resorts which are wonderful in the summer and very viable alternative destinations for a beach holiday. There are also many towns and counties which are famous for beautiful landscape in history. You can see such a diversity in culture and scenery that is particularly impressive by European standards.

The visitors some of the gems such as Cornwall and Devon all the Cotswolds is sure not to disappoint even the most demanding amongst tourists. The Lake District is also an ideal place to go for nature lovers. Getting around is not difficult since of course you can take your own car or hire one and you will be familiar with everything.

If you are more interested in going on a short city break, then there are sure to be cities in England which you haven't visited before which are definitely worth a visit. Some examples include the fine old city of York, you could see the fantastic cathedral of Durham or you could take the ride down the river in a punt in Cambridge. There are literally so many alternatives.

Finding short breaks in England is not difficult since there are so many holiday cottages for rental and getting around is best done by hiring a car or driving in your own car of course. In England you can find everything from camping and hiking holidays to city breaks to quaint short holidays in the countryside. Either way, you should have no difficulty in finding the perfect short holiday.
