Photography is a new emerging art form but currently these artists are more into making this as their career and source of income. You should also know that it is your obligation to look for a good location where you could shoot. The next thing that you need to determine is the rules of the location and these would vary form one venue to another. Fro example, there are churches which would restrict having a flash during the ceremony and there are even other who do not allow photographers at all. This kind of information is not something you can get from your clients but you would really have to talk with the coordinator.

Moreover, you should be able to make the shot lists for every contract you have so that you can have this kind of lifeline. This will help you remember all the pictures that need to be taken in the event so you would avoid the tragedy of forgetting anything. Think about how hectic your schedule might be and you can have a hint on what to include by rechecking the needs of your clients.

One more tip which you could use is that you must be ready with some back up cameras, batteries and memory cards because these are the hero of your career. There are times when an equipment would fail, or a battery would run out and files in a memory stick would be corrupted. You must do a preparation for all of these or else your career would be over.

There is always an advantage when you would not have to work alone which why it is better to have an assistant. If possible, bring a partner with you who possesses the necessary skills for the job. He will really be helpful for a lot of things.

Your duty would not only include capturing pictures of the newly wed couple but also of all the people that have attended the party. This kind of event would be very exciting so you might have difficulty getting the proper pictures requested of you. When this happens, you have to be polite yet firm to ask.

Keeping your files raw that processed is a better idea. For one reason, this will avoid keeping you tangled with all the work connected to post processing. Second, you would more likely be able to recover any problems regarding exposure or lighting if you keep them that way.

Furthermore, just because you can be consider a professional already does not mean you can skip the basic. You have to review them every now and then to improve your skills. You should not forget how depth of field, aperture, composition and metering matters.
