Why It Is Important To Join A Church Of The Right Doctrine

By Marissa Velazquez

The house of God plays a very vital role in the spiritual growth of any Christian. It is therefore important that every believer identifies the right house of worship and join a church that teaches the right doctrines. Houses of worship that teach false doctrines pose a huge danger to the entire body of Christ.

The bible says that Christianity is a spiritual warfare against principalities and powers of darkness. As such, a new believer is exposed to these attacks as soon as they profess Christ over their lives. A new believer may not be aware of these attacks and how to fight back in the spirit but, in a congregation of believers with the stewardship of a pastor, the newly saved are well guided in prayer and the word.

Being a congregant in a house of worship magnifies the glory of God. The scripture commands that believers should live and act in a way that even the ungodly that criticize them, can give glory to God. By walking the talk about salvation and the importance of the house of God to the life of a believer, unbelievers can get motivated to be part of the walk to the kingdom of God.

Cultic denominations are a source of demonic attack to believers and immense spiritual warfare. It is extremely difficult for people to break away from such cultic organization once they are recruited as their operations revolve around demonic powers. This incident can easily be avoided by believers becoming members of houses of worship that teach the right doctrine.

Every Christian needs an encouragement at some point in life when they are low in spirit. It is well mentioned too that the path to the kingdom is narrow while that that leads to death is narrow. The only place to find encouragement in those low moments is in a gathering of believers who have oneness of purpose and have a biblical duty to encourage one another as written in Thessalonians.

The bible commands Christians to be joyful givers to He who is the reason for their existence. It is only in a house of worship that Christians can exercise this godly command by offering their tithes and other offerings. Giving attracts blessings from God which reflects to unbelievers the faithfulness to God not only to those who give but for those who heed to his word.

The bible warns in the book of revelation of people in the end times who will come to preach in the name of Christ yet they teach contrary things. The mention of this in the bible is an indication of the importance of believers being part of a house of worship that teaches the true word of God. That true word will set the captives free from their ungodly acts.

New believers ought to join a church for them to progress in their Christianity. Staying out of touch with congregants and a spiritual leader will pose great threats towards the rooting of a new believer in Christ. The obligation is well in line with the word of God and thus should be kept.
