For reporters document cloud is a dream come true, it is a service that they can use to store information, both public and private. They also get to use the website to analyze and find sense in both large and small files. However just like any site, there are things that a person must understand before you join.

One of the terms set is for the file contributors. Anyone that uploads a file through the web interface or API is a contributor. A contributor should ensure any user is an adult, that understand the risk of plagiarism and only produces statements that they have right to.

Honesty is one of the things that one must be ready to uphold, stories that are not true are not allowed on the website. Therefore, it is important that one have his facts straight before loading any information in this site. On the same note, it is your responsibility to edit and ensure that the information you give has no errors.

Working with children is sensitive and some of the materials that are posted on this site could be harmful for youngsters. If it is necessary for the young generation to take part on this site, make sure that you have used the children that are over 13 years of age and with agreement done by their parents.

You are not allowed to open another account without the consent of the owner. The only account you get access to at any time of day is your own. You do not have the right to try to access private information stored by another reporter. In case you need this information seek permission from the one that has stored the data.

You are responsible for everything that you post on this site. That is the reason that upon signing up, you are asked to give your full names and contact information. Ghost writing is not allowed, this is in order to ensure that every information is legit and the author is ready to take full responsibility if need be.

Document cloud is a free site, this is what makes it more interesting considering all that it offers to the members. Other than that, you have the freedom to share your story or load it and store it privately. This site promotes the freedom of information and the right of every reporter. It is up to you if you want to share or keep it to yourself.
