"Drugs do nothing but kill! They kill your body, they kill your mind, and they can kill YOU!" -James Malinchak
What can you possibly gain from using drugs? Drugs can do nothing positive for your life. They cause people to self destruct. Just as a time bomb will explode, so will your mind, body, and your life if you choose to be friends with drugs.
According to The U.S. Department of Education, a 16-year-old girl told doctors that her entire life was centered on crack. The amazing thing about this is that she was interviewed on a Friday and had used crack for the very first time the previous Monday. Within 5 days, the drug had thoroughly taken over her life!
Do not try to justify using drugs by saying that everyone is doing it and that if you do it, too, you will be cool, cool with your friends and the popular kids. You won't be cool...you will be stupid! Do you think you'll be cool if you mess with drugs and get kicked out of school? If you get kicked out of school, you will have difficulty being accepted to any college, and you might never be able to land a good job. Once you get an "F" grade on your "life report card" for messing with drugs, it can't be erased. However, you can turn your life around. If you're messing with drugs, simply make the choice to stop.
Do you think you'll be cool if you mess with drugs and jump out of a window because you think you can fly? It happens. Drugs could cause you to do things that you normally wouldn't do. They could cause you to hurt or even kill somebody. They could even kill you. Would you like to take the chance of dying just to get yourself a cheap high?
Think Before You Do Drugs
"You do not do drugs. Drugs do you!" -Eddie Jones, Los Angeles Lakers for Drug Free Southern California
Don't get high on drugs; get high on life. Get high from doing fun things with your pals. Get high from getting love from your family. Get high from making good grades in school. Get high from succeeding in sports. The positive things in life can provide you with a much better high than drugs. You don't need drugs to enjoy yourself.
Your parents, brothers and sisters, friends, boyfriend or girlfriend, teachers nor anyone else can make you stay away from drugs. Only you can make the choice. The choice is yours. I cannot make you stay away from drugs. All I ask is that you think before you do drugs. Think before you give in to the evil of drugs. Think about your family. Think about your friends. Think about how empty their lives would be if you were to die from messing with drugs. If you think that you cannot die because you are young and healthy, then think again.
Len Bias was a number one NBA draft pick who was about to sign a multimillion-dollar contract. He was anticipated to become one of the best basketball players ever to play for the Boston Celtics.
The night he was drafted by the Celtics Len Bias made the choice to use drugs, and he died. He never earned any of the multimillion dollars. He never had the chance to become one of the Celtics all time talented players. Len Bias was a strong and healthy individual, probably in much better condition than you. If he could die from drugs, you certainly can also die!
