Get Rid of Blushing

By Sel Ockley

Plenty of people out there suffer from blushing, the reddening of the face and neck. If this happens to you often, and is giving you a headache, I'm sure you're looking for a way to treat this problem. While there are no true cures out there, there are plenty of things you can try to make blushing less noticeable. First, you should find out why you blush so often compared to other people. Shyness could be a root cause, in which case you should look out for ways to cure that instead. If you are not as shy, you won't need to blush so much and have more control over it.

Shy people tend to blush more than the outgoing people as they are more uncomfortable when not in areas that are familiar. A large group of unknown people can be terrifying to shy a person. They may not have the self esteem to be able to mingle without feeling like falling through a hole in the floor. Becoming more adept in these circumstances will help to give you blushing control.

If you can control the panic and calm down, you will not blush or have other negative reactions. Simply by controlling your emotions, anyone can stop their blushing problem. You will have to gauge yourself and your feelings, because only you know how you feel in certain situations. Controlling your emotions can also help you in other areas of your life, too.

One method that has helped many people is to take deep breaths when they feel panicky. This helps keep your heart rate slow and will stop the blood from rushing to your face. Practice these breathing techniques at home before you get in to circumstances that may cause you distress.

Taking a sip of cool or ice water is a second method to keep your face from blushing. This will deter the blood from causing you to blush and will aid in cooling your face as well. Besides helping with facial blushing, drinking water is beneficial for your whole body. You will not turn red as much and will be more affable by learning to manage your facial blushing.
