Nanny Search: Interview Things to Consider

By Rashel Dan

It is never easy to go on a nanny search. One thing that can make it easier would be the right interview set up. Often, this goes beyond asking the right questions. How should you interview a potential nanny?

Important Interview Questions

Different families have different nanny needs. Interview questions differ per parent or family. A potential nanny may be asked numerous or very little questions. The kinds and number of questions that you ask will depend on you. Do remember though that there are just some questions that you shouldnt miss to ask. These questions are uniformly asked by most, if not all families. These include questions about experience, relevant training, references and child caring practices. These basic questions will initially determine if your interviewee has suitable qualifications.

Supplementary Questions

You should ask more than just the necessary questions. Your interview should also consist of supplementary questions that are related to nanny work and your applicant. You can ask an applicant how she has solved past problems with kids, what she has learned in previous nanny work and why she wants to become a nanny.

The reason for these questions is to learn as much as you can about the traits of your nanny. Here answers will give you an idea if you are comfortable with her values and beliefs. Be careful though. If you ask too many meticulous questions, you might just drive the good nannies away.

Interview Set-Up

When interviewing, put your nanny at ease. You also have to make sure that the interview environment is appropriate. Have your interviewee sit in a comfortable area in your living room. Offer her a drink or some refreshments. This will help break the ice and put your interviewee at ease. This is important. A relaxed and comfortable applicant would be more likely to be conversational and open. You might be able to get hints of past experiences that you might want to know about.

Fee Discussion

Another very important point to consider is the fee of the nanny. This is something that some families tend to put little emphasis on. It is however a very important part of every interview session. After all, people are motivated to work because of compensation. Be sure to ask a potential nanny how much she would be willing to work for. If you do not agree with her rate, let her know how much you can afford. If she agrees to it, make sure she understands that the amount is all she can expect. Arriving at an understanding about fees will help ensure that you have a nanny who will complain and work grudgingly.

Trial Period

Ask an applicant if she would be willing to undergo a trial period with compensation. This would be a good way to see if your nanny and your kids get along well. Mentioning this during the interview is important because it will help your nanny understand that anything can happen after the trial period. She may or may not get the job depending on how things go.

Your nanny search can yield fruitful results if you know where and how to start your search. You just need to organize the right interview session to find good potential nannies.

Witch Costumes For Kids For Brewing Up Some Magic on Halloween Night

By Peggy Huiseghems

Do items in your home sometimes seem to vanish without trace? Or perhaps they turn up later in some bizarre place you're absolutely certain you didn't put them there. Maybe your children give you the "evil eye" when they don't get their own way. Listen carefully - do you hear cackling? You might need to engage in a little sorcery of your own from time to time because it seems you have a resident witch.

Life of a witch can be pretty dull for most of the year. There's only so much you can do with a household broom and dull mortal clothing. Luckily, just around the corner is the night of the year your little witch has been waiting for - Halloween. Why not let your little witch express herself in a girl witch Halloween costume that matches her personality?

The little ray of sunshine who loves a good cackle will also like the bright Kandy Korn Witch Costume with its brilliant orange and yellow on black color scheme. She'll cast a spell of happiness wherever she goes in it. If that's a little too hot for your liking the Pretty Pumpkin Witch Girl's Costume might be a good match.

The girl who just has to be cool will be the coolest for sure in the stunning lime green and black Green Punky Witch Costume. The more traditional sorceress will probably be happier in the Midnight Witch or Black Cat Child Costume. She'll look like magic whichever one you choose.

Of course, the little man of the house who wants to work his magic on Halloween will need the Evil Warlock Child Costume. Fortunately he'll be on your side on the night and you just might need his magic powers to fend off the many witches, ghouls, ghosts and other assorted creatures that will rise to the call of Halloween.

The girl who's just beginning to outgrow "cute" but hasn't quite turned into a troublesome teenager might be difficult to please. Try the Sassy Pumpkin Witch Tween Costume - it will look stunning on your average almost-a-teenage witch.

If you've a teenager in the house you probably know just what bubble, bubble, toil and trouble means. Teenagers try on all manner of "costumes" while they're working out who they really are. Yours might want to try out the Pretty Potion Teen Costume.

If your teenager is a late riser it's probably because she has to stay up for the bewitching hour to talk to the other members of her coven. In that case she'll be quite happy in the Midnight Witch Teen Costume.

There's no need to leave the tiny little witch at home either. If your beautiful toddler casts a spell over everyone she meets, she'll certainly bewitch the neighborhood dressed in the Pretty Pumpkin Witch Toddler Costume.

Halloween is the perfect night of year to let your witches exercise their powers - outside the house. Suit them up in kids witch Halloween costumes and let them loose.

Christmas Cash - 7 Easy Steps To Make Money This Christmas

By Mark J Thompson

A week before Thanksgiving last year I realized that I had a major expense due early in the New Year and if I was going to pay that I wasn't going to have any much needed Christmas cash. I had to come up with a plan. A few hours of thinking and writing down ideas on a sheet of paper I had my plan.

8 weeks later I had earned over $20,000 in commissions and sold almost $250,000 dollars worth of physical products. My cash crisis was over. Not only that I had a blog that continued to earn me money throughout the year.

Here are 7 tips that will help you to earn money this Christmas. Although you'll find that by picking the right products you'll have a steady income throughout the year. So let's get started.

1. Choose only one or two products and concentrate on them, learn as much about them as possible.

2. Use article marketing to promote the products, it's cheaper and more effective that Pay Per Click

3. Create a blog, you can use a generic name but ensure that individual posts use the product name in full

4. Don't use generic names, rather than use "Tissot Watches" use product names "Tissot T Touch Titanium"

5. Use big name retailers, people trust them so use Amazon or even eBay

6. Set up Squidoo Lenses and Hubpages. The more sites you can get into the top 10 of Google the more money you'll make. I had 7 of the top ten spots in Google at one point last year.

7. Plan ahead, if the retailer sells out of stock you'll need an alternative source of income so make the links easy to change. If this happens eBay or AdSense can earn you a lot of money. I made more commission from eBay than the retailer because after shop stock was gone people were selling at 3 times the retail price on eBay.

It really isn't too late to make cash for Christmas, only yesterday I set up a new blog selling an in demand product. Check sources like amazons best sellers list or eBay pulse for products that are in demand. Also watch TV and magazines what is being advertised? There are thousands of products so you don't have to focus on the ones that everyone else is, Remember there are over 10 million pages for the Wii Fit! So choose your product wisely.

There are several ways that you can set up a website to make money for Christmas this year. My preferred method is Wordpress as it ranks well in the search engines and it's easy to set up and to tweak.

By George Fowler

Today as you will soon discover there are many different types of chicken coops for sale. But before you think about purchase one which can be quite a large investment there are certain things that you will need to consider beforehand. In this article we offer some tips with regard to what to look for when you are buying a chicken coop that not only protects the hens but provides them with plenty of space.

Tip 1 - It is important that you buy a coop that is of a solid structure and which will last for many years to come. The best types of coops are those where the wood has been pressure treated and tanalised as they won't need any maintenance and can last for up to 20 years.

But they are expensive and for many people who don't have a lot of money to spend just going for a coop that is treated normally will suffice. However, even with these types make sure that no toxic materials have been used for treating the wood and also factor in the cost of having to retreat the coop each year to ensure that it lasts.

Tip 2 - As well as making sure the coop is solidly constructed you want one that is weatherproof. You should look for those chicken coops for sale where the roof overhangs the main part of it as this will ensure that rain water flows off it easily. So getting one with an apex roof is your best option. However you can also choose flat roofed ones that have a slight slope to them by the door to ensure that rainwater flows off over the back.

Plus the roofing material should be of a kind that not only is impervious to water but provides a good level of insulation as well. Most chicken coops for sale today will have roofs that have good quality roofing felt on them or a material like Onduline, which prevents mites from finding places to live.
